A good thing to do is to read a little of the Bible each day. However, we will understand the Bible better when we have an overall view of what God is doing. To help us gain such a view, we have tried to put the readings in chronological order. We have also grouped them together under sub-headings, which we hope are helpful.

The Bible talks about “rightly dividing the Word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15). That means placing each item in its proper context. The accompanying chart is not a proportional time line of history but is designed to illustrate the pattern of progressive revelation within the Bible that illustrates the great stewardships that exist in God’s plan for the ages. To understand God’s will we must study all Scripture with these great stewardships in mind.
