From the A1 going north, take the A19 towards Middlesbrough, but ignore the first signs to Thornaby (i.e. ignore the A174). At the next exit take the left lane to Thornaby (A1130). Go past a cemetery on the right and a farm on the left, and then go straight over the traffic lights and down the hill. As you go up the other side turn left into Langley Avenue, which is about 1/2 mile long. Turn right at the T junction at the end into Westbury Street. The Salvation Army Hall is on the right, after about 400 yards. For the car park, go past the Hall and turn right and right again.

Thornaby railway station is 5 minutes walk from the Hall, which can be seen on leaving the station.
