Directions from Junction 12 of the M4 - or click here for a map:

Come off at Junction 12 and take the A4 towards Theale and Newbury. Straight over the first roundabout, and at the second roundabout take the third exit, signposted towards Oxford and Pangbourne. Go straight through Tidmarsh, ignoring the turn left signposted to Upper Basildon. Instead go straight on for another mile or so. As you enter Pangbourne, you will come to the Cross Keys pub on your right. Turn left there, at the yellow box junction, just before St. James’ Church.

Go up the hill between St. James’ Church and the row of white cottages. After a mile, take the right hand fork, signposted to Upper Basildon. You will come to the notice for Upper Basildon as you enter the village; keep going straight. You will come into the village and see St. Stephen’s, a modern church, on your right just before the village green. There is plenty of parking.
