The author contends that orthodoxy was introduced not in the 1st Century, but in the early 4th, under the leadership of the Roman Emperor Constantine who desired a unified Christianity as a state religion in order to consolidate his power.

Before then there was a fairly healthy and free enquiry among Christians with respect to the most profound of Scriptural topics which is only now being recovered.

Daniel Anderson has penned his personal views on Bible Study in an endeavour to encourage and stimulate Christians to approach the Bible for themselves, to come to their own conclusions but to be ever aware and respectful of others and their views.
