The Gospel of John has been a blessing to many of different persuasions but, initially, who did John intend his Gospel for? The most popular views are ... to Jews in Israel or ... to the Jews in the Dispersion or ... to Gentiles or ... to both Jews and Gentiles ... and there may be other opinions as to the original destination of the Gospel.
However, Brian Sherring suggests that it might be worth looking at the possibility that John had ‘a Samaritan destination’ and this publication takes another look at John’s Gospel with that view in mind.
