The Book of Job, according to the author, contains “The Oldest Lesson in the world”: a lesson Job had to learn, and so do all of us. Man’s way, as seen by Job’s three friends, in not God’s way.
Job, one of the oldest books in the Bible, shows that even in a time of great adversity, good can be the end-product, thanks to the workmanship of God. This is a lesson we must all learn if we are to gain some measure of understanding of suffering.
