Why, we may ask, was Moses, when he built the Tabernacle, instructed to make sure and certain that he made it according to the exact pattern God had shown him in the mount?

The answer may lie in Hebrews 8:5. This Scripture shows how the Temple, and its priesthood, were but a shadow of heavenly things, and Hebrews 9:23-25 gives an example of this. These verses explain that the most holy place in the Tabernacle, and later in the Temple, was entered only by the high priest once a year. This was but a figure, or copy, of the reality of what was to come when Christ entered into heaven itself, to appear in the presence of God for us. This He did to make His offering once and for all time.

With this in mind then, it was the author’s aim in this journey through the Tabernacle to show how every detail of instructions given by God to Moses, prefigured an aspect relevant to the work of Christ at Calvary. This book makes fascinating reading.
