The four authors do an excellent job of not only bringing before us the important issues in the lives of the four patriarchs (i.e. lessons in history). However, they also, in considering the lives and experiences of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Joseph, draw out lessons of faith and practice which are applicable to 21st century Christians.
