The fifth book of the New Testament has the title it has because it actually contains the ‘acts’ of the Apostles; i.e. it contains their
- preaching and teaching, and also
- details of the miracles they performed.
So does this publication deal with the end of the book of Acts; i.e. its last chapter? Or does it deal with the ‘end’ of the Acts they performed; i.e. the cessation of their miracles? The answer is both, for, as the author shows, these two are intimately linked.
