The opening section looks at the four different writers of the Gospels and discusses the reasons why they wrote and their aim in so doing.
Then follows two lengthy sections. The first compares the Gospels, looking at common subjects and themes. The second, however, contrasts them, looking at the differences and suggesting reasons why the authors either decided to leave out certain events and discourses, or why they wanted to include them. These two sections are well illustrated with ten tables showing clearly the similarities and the differences.
The booklet concludes with a helpful appendix on dating the Gospels.
