This study of the Lord’s Table considers every relevant passage throughout the Scriptures. The author has done this so that our faith and consequent practise may rest solely upon the Scriptures of truth, and not on tradition, church history, custom or sentiment.
He has dealt with the subject under two principal lines of enquiry:-
- The roots of the Lord’s Table in the Old Testament
- The records of the Lord’s Table in the New Testament
By dealing with the subject in this fashion the author has attempted to be scrupulously fair, and has given interested readers all the necessary information to enable them to form their own opinion as to whether the author’s conclusions in this matter are correct.
