It is difficult to over-estimate the importance of Paul’s letters and the role they have had in shaping Christian doctrine and practice. For example, one commentator states that Paul’s letter to the Ephesians contains “the highest Church truth”.
And Van Mierlo has rightly subtitled this book “Divine instructions for today” for, after all, Paul is the only person described in the New Testament as “The Apostle to the Gentiles”.
The book is in three sections: Paul’s teachings during the Acts Period … Paul’s teaching after the end of the Act Period … and then it looks at events following the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple in AD 70. Then follows nine informative and helpful Appendices.
